COMMON FAILURES IN TIMBER ROOF STRUCTURES


WHY ATTEND?

This course provides an insight at common failures of sheet metal clad timber framed roofing in residential projects. An insight into the provisions of AS 1684 as detailed in our Timber Framing Code course will be explored.

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?

This course will provide you with a better understanding on the examining of:

  • How to ensure that the tie-down straps are selected and installed correctly
  • How to ensure all connections in the roof structure provide a continuous chain
  • How metal roofing battens should be correctly installed, in accordance with applicable Codes and Standards
  • The minimum documentation requirements for performance based solutions

A Master Builders Certificate of Attendance will be awarded.
