Union Appeals Federal Court Decision
The High Court this week hears an appeal by the CFMEU(V) against a prior Federal Court unanimous decision which reaffirmed the long-held understanding that unions exercising right of entry on safety issues must do so under state and federal right of entry permits. The union contests this view. Given the strength of the decision, the union faces an uphill battle.
