The comment period regarding the proposed National Construction Code (NCC) 2016 Volume One Amendment 1 closes this Sunday. The proposed NCC changes are the result of a directive from the Building Ministers' Forum to expedite completion of actions from a comprehensive package of measures for fire safety in high-rise buildings, developed following the Lacrosse Apartments fire. Interested parties are encouraged to complete an online response form.
