Free Seminars in Esperance
The Building Commission is holding two information sessions on 12 May at the Esperance Civic Centre. The morning session will focus on the Building Code of Australia, its future initiatives, product certification and technical interpretation. Employee v Subcontractor Workshop
Incorrectly classifying employees as sub-contractors can have serious implications for employers such as paying wages and other award entitlements, paying superannuation contributions and more, as well as having financial penalties applied if convicted by a court. The Chairman of the WA Planning Commission, Eric Lumsden, met with senior MBA representatives this week to discuss private certification, infill developments and bushfire regulations. It was a very constructive meeting.
