    Our Board met this week with KeyStart CEO Paul Graham. Other matters discussed included Board composition, licencing of building trades, security of payment and our 2018-19 budget.

    A new book has just been published which explains how to develop an organisational program to improve the cultural, productivity, safety and people issues in workplaces.   6. Construction Training Fund Levy

    Master Builders is meeting with the National Party next week to discuss when the 0.2% CTF levy will be extended to civil engineering construction projects in the mining/resource sector. We anticipate a maximum cap to be included and a new CTF Board to be announced soon.

  8. MATES Luncheon

    The annual Mates in Construction lunch was held last Friday with over 350 attendees. Suicide rates have fallen 7.8% over the last 5 years in QLD due to the MATES awareness program. However, male suicides are 20% higher in WA compared to other states. Phone MATES on 1300 642 111 if you or your workmates need help or want workplace training.
