  1. Funding for a Waste Project

    The McGowan government has budgeted $1 million to support projects that divert waste from landfill (e.g. recycling construction waste). Master Builders is keen to partner with one or more of our members in one of these pilot projects. Funding applications close on 12 February. Phone Jason on 9476 9800, if you’re interested.

  2. Building Site Thefts

    Residential builders are regularly reporting theft from building sites and damage to their property. Members are recommended to report all incidents of theft and damage to the Police on 13 14 44. Information about a theft should be reported to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. Master Builders is currently exploring pro-active strategies with several security firms.

  3. ICA unveils flammable cladding protocol

    The Insurance Council of Australia has collaborated with Engineers Australia and Fire Protection Association Australia on a protocol to identify and address inappropriate use of aluminium composite panels (ACP). Click here to read an article from Insurance News.

  7. North-West Urban Construction and Development Panel

    Minister for Housing, Veterans Issues and Youth Peter Tinley has appointed MGC Building & Maintenance, Kullarri Building and H&M Tracey Construction to the newly formed North-West Aboriginal Housing Panel. The objective is to attract, retain and develop the skills of Aboriginal apprentices in the industry. The builders will deliver housing construction and big refurbishment projects in the Kimberley and Pilbara regions. Click here to read the government media release.
