Damian O'Connor
I have been in commercial construction for 14 years as an Advanced Rigger and construction supervisor. I hold a Diploma in Building and Construction with my Building Practitioners license. Currently working on Train One Wheatstone LNG Project for Bechtel Structural. During my time in the construction industry I have worked as a rigging supervisor managing large crews in structural steel erection and tilt up concrete panel construction. I have recently worked on the Gorgon Project, Chevron's LNG jetty on Barrow Island, working with barges and cranes offshore construction. My career in construction has involved many different projects from Cape Lambert iron ore jetty, bulk goods warehouse, shopping centres, primary schools in the "Building the Education Revolution". My duties on the government projects was to ensure the work has been completed to Australian Standards and write detailed weekly reports on the progress, schedule labour and equipment. I have worked in the North West for 12 years and am well adapt to the challenges that are provided.
