Arbor Centre was established in 1985 by Rob Bodenstaff with the aim of providing modern tree care practices to tree owners and tree managers in WA and then took on and championed the transplanting of fully mature trees.
Arbor Centre introduced into Western Australia, new age tree transplanting technologies and combined this with modern Arboricultural knowhow and research on numerous tree species to now be a world leader in transplanting mature native and exotic trees and can lay claim to having successfully transplanted some of the oldest and largest specimens in the southern hemisphere as well as undertaking large scale transplanting and high profile projects across Australia (City Link – Melb, Alfred St – Syd, Peninsula Resort – Burwood, The set for the movie “Australia” and the Big Boab at Kings Park - to name a few) as well as successfully transplanting tree species that were thought impossible to relocate (including native Marri’s, Tuart’s, Paperbark’s, Peppermints - and many exotics).
From fledgling beginnings, Arbor Centre now employs 20 staff and has proven itself to be a well respected Arboricultural Company in Western Australia with its expertise sort after locally, nationally and internationally.
By staying abreast of technological developments (here and overseas), and staff development through formal courses of study and progressive “on the job” training , we ensure that Arbor Centre remains a leader in interpreting and servicing the needs of trees, in successfully manage their root systems and transplanting very big ones for the benefit of our lifestyles and the environment.
