Since 1989, the Master Builders-Bankwest Excellence in Construction Awards have been recognised as the hallmark annual event for the commercial, industrial and civil engineering sectors. The event attracts strong interest from contractors and receives widespread media coverage. Entries are received in designated categories and are judged by an independent panel comprising representatives of the Royal Australian Institute of Architects, Engineers Australia and Master Builders Association.
The Master Builders-Bankwest Housing Excellence Awards, originally introduced in Western Australia in 1981, recognise the best residential builders based exclusively on their building excellence and quality of workmanship. Each year a team of experienced building judges inspect nominations in new home construction, display homes, renovations, single detached and group housing projects.
