TRAINING

Master Builders Association of WA is a Registered Training Provider, RTO 5101, with the Training Accreditation Council of Western Australia. We take great pride in offering training courses that meet the needs of employers, employees, contractors, supervisors and managers in the building and construction industry.

Our training courses are continually reviewed and updated to include the latest legislation, codes and standards. The majority of them are subsidised by the Construction Training Fund, with Master Builders' bulk billing arrangement with the CTF, enabling participants to only pay for the remaining balance of the course.

UNIQUE STUDENT IDENTIFIER (USI)

The Australian Government has rolled out a new system that allows students who are undertaking Nationally Recognised Training to find and collate their Vocational Education and Training (VET) achievements in one place so they will never lose their VET records again. Called the Unique Student Identifier, or USI for short, any student from January 2015 who is undertaking Nationally Recognised Training must have a USI.

  • WHAT IS THE USI?

The USI is a reference number that is made up of numbers and letters and is unique for each individual student. Think of it as a Tax File Numbers, but for training.  It does not cost anything to obtain a USI and once obtained a USI will stay with the student for life.

  • HOW DO I GET A USI?

Being prepared before commencing study in Nationally Recognised Training with any Registered Training Organisation (RTO), a USI can be obtained by visiting the USI website at www.usi.gov.au
