Since 1989, the Excellence in Construction Awards have been recognised by the industry, industry professions and government as the hallmark annual event for the commercial, industrial and civil engineering sectors. The event attracts strong interest from contractors and receives widespread media coverage.

Entries are received in designated categories and are judged by an independent panel comprising representatives of the Royal Australian Institute of Architects, Engineers Australia and Master Builders Association.

Entries for the 2013 Master Builders-Bankwest Excellence in Construction Awards including the 2013 Subcontractor of the Year Awards will open Friday 18 January and close Friday 8 March. The presentation dinner will be held at Crown Perth on Saturday 22 June 2013.
